In sections, A and B, Learners will calculate the area of various right-angled triangles either on a cm square grid or from given dimensions. Students are encouraged to find the area of the rectangle each triangle fits within first and halve to get the area of each triangle.
Learners are tasked with drawing two different triangles with an area of 12 cm² on a cm square grid in section C.
Section D is a spot, explain and correct the mistake activity which aims to draw out common misconceptions.
In section E, students will have to measure the correct lengths of a triangle in order to calculate its area. Lastly, in section F students have to use a given area to calculate missing lengths in two triangles.
