Prepare your students to measure, compare, add and subtract lengths fluently in centimetres and millimetres by first looking at some equivalent measurements. Learners will use a ruler throughout the worksheet to find equivalence of cm and mm including fractional lengths such as 6 ½ cm.
Lengths are also partitioned from mm into cm and mm for example 34 mm is 3 cm and 4 mm and vice versa.
For more equivalence of metric lengths see our worksheet Converting Lengths - Metres and Centimetres.
