Learners will practise using the language of left, right, above and below throughout this worksheet which is designed to enhance students' understanding of the relative positioning of objects.
Firstly students will use the words 'left' or 'right' to describe the position of numbers and shapes relative to each other.
Next, in section B pupils practise using 'above' or 'below' to describe the position of more numbers and geometric shapes.
These skills are combined in section C as students complete sentences using all these terms again to describe the positions of numbers and shapes.
Then, section D presents learners with instructions to follow as they move a counter to different positions.
