Dividing decimals by integers (A) asks learners to divide decimals with up to three decimal places by integers where no regrouping is required.
Throughout section A, students use place value counters alongside bar models to answer six division questions. The section begins with an example that shows a decimal number being represented by place value counters and dividing these in a bar model.
Next, in section B, decimals are partitioned according to place value and each part being divided separately.
Lastly in section C, pupils will practise using a formal written method to divide decimals by integers.
See Dividing Decimals by Integers (B) for a version where exchanges are required.
