Learners are introduced to halving with visual aids throughout this worksheet. All the numbers to be halved are even and no greater than 20.
In section A, dominoes are used. Here pupils will state the total number of dots on ‘doubles’ dominoes before using the dominoes to find a half of each of the numbers.
In section B the numbers 14, 16, 18 and 20 are halved using sets of pre-drawn counters.
