Pupils will find missing values to solve equations.

In section A, they will need to find the value of the symbol to make the calculation true.

In section B, a scaffolded approach to solving equations using a balancing method is introduced for some one-step equations.

This is then extended to two-step equations in section C.

The scaffolding is then removed for section D.
