The focus of Subtracting from Multiples of 10 (A) is on enabling learners to spot patterns when subtracting a single digit from a multiple of 10.
In section A, pupils will use number lines to complete four subtractions. Then in section B pupils will complete three subtraction wheels where they start with the number at the centre and subtract the outside of it. The emphasis here is on mental calculations.
