Adding fractions using a fraction wall reinforces the fact that fractions must have the same denominator in order to add them. This worksheet will help your learners to find equivalent fractions before adding a pair of fractions.
There are 15 questions in total for pupils to answer which have been carefully put together to aid learners progression; beginning with adding fractions with the same denominators, moving on to finding the sum of pairs of fractions where one denominator is a multiple of the other, then when denominators share a common factor and lastly when equivalent fractions on the wall must found before the fractions can be added.
