This worksheet is designed to get learners thinking about regrouping, reordering and partitioning numbers in products to make the calculations easier to work out.
Section A encourages learners to use the associative and commutative properties to regroup or reorder numbers in a product to form 10 from a 5 and 2.
Section B then leads learners through the process of partitioning a 2-digit number into "ten" and "one" parts so that the distributive property can be used.
Section C has some "fill in the gap" questions covering the types seen in sections A and B.
Section D then provided some other problems to solve using the properties practised.
