Compound Shapes (B) worksheet description

This worksheet requires students to find the area and perimeter of compound shapes made up of triangles and rectangles.

Split into two sections, section A asks students to find the perimeter of six different shapes. Learners will have to remember to include all lengths, even those without labels. However, no calculation of unknown lengths is necessary.

In section B, students will find the area of six compound shapes. We guide pupils through the process of dividing the shape into rectangles and triangles in order to complete their calculations. Some missing lengths will have to be worked out before the area can be found.
