In section A, students will simplify expressions where two or more terms are multiplied together, reinforcing negative number operations and indices rules for multiplication.

Sections B and C see pupils expanding single brackets This includes expressions that need to be simplified after the expansion for example expressions that contain two single brackets. Students will end with ten expressions to factorise. Some expressions contain more than one common factor and not all are linear.
