Midpoints of Two Numbers worksheet description

This worksheet focuses on teaching students how to find the midpoint between two numbers.

In Section A, students are provided with either a labelled or a blank number line as visual aids to help them find the midpoint of 8 pairs of numbers.

Section B introduces two different methods for finding the midpoint of two numbers. In Method 1, students add the two numbers together and divide by 2. Method 2 involves subtracting the smaller number from the larger number, dividing the difference by 2, and then adding the result to the smaller number. Learners will use each method separately and then apply their preferred method to answer 18 questions.

Section C presents more challenging problems where learners will find the midpoint of fractions, decimals, and numbers with different signs. Additionally, they will use the concept of the midpoint to find missing values.
