Parts of a Circle worksheet description

Get to grips with naming parts of a circle with this worksheet, which focuses on the radius, circumference, diameter, tangent, arc, chord, segment, and sector.

In Section A, learners will name these parts from their descriptions and then label them on a diagram of a circle.

In Section B, pupils will read six statements and decide whether they are always, sometimes, or never true in question 1. Statements include “a chord passes through the centre of a circle.” In question 2, they will tick images that show a true diameter.

Lastly, students are required to draw or show all the required parts on eight circle templates.
