Solving Quadratic Equations (E) – Using all Three Methods worksheet description

Students will practise using three methods for solving quadratic equations throughout this worksheet as well as considering their method of choice and the most efficient method for different equations. The three methods used are factorisation, completing the square and using the quadratic formula.

The worksheet begins with an example of each method being used. Learners will then use each method to solve three different equations.

Question 4, asks pupils to use each of the three methods to solve two equations.

Lastly, students will solve a further 6 equations using their chosen method.

Exact answers are used throughout so students can complete them without the use of a calculator.
