Challenge all students with this quickly progressing worksheet focusing solely on addition and subtraction rules with positive and negative numbers.

Section A eases learners in with addition and subtraction of positive numbers to and from negative numbers, such as -10 + 23. Many of these calculations cross zero and will allow students to practice working with the symmetry of zero.

In section B and C, students will add and subtract positive and negative numbers in 24 questions that get progressively more difficult.

Need something to stretch learners? Point them in the direction of section D. Here, they are asked to calculate sums with up to 4 numbers and 2 sets of parenthesis with questions such as (-4 + -2) + (4 – -9).
