Adding Single Digits to Two Digit Numbers (No Regrouping) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is designed to give students practice of adding ones to two digit numbers mentally and using formal methods while also providing concrete representatives of these additions.

Section A uses base 10 blocks as visual aids for addition problems. Students are asked to complete additions of single-digit numbers to two-digit numbers using these blocks.

Then in section B, students will mentally add a single digit to a two digit number as they complete three addition wheels, where the number at the center is added to the number outside of it.

Section C introduces a formal method for addition as students complete a series of column additions.
No regrouping is required throughout.
