Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
These addition grids enable children to understand the commutative property of addition as they find the sum of numbers at the top of each column and start of each row.
Pupils will find the sum of two numbers, all of which are multiples of 5. There are 36 questions to answer in total and all answers are within 100.
