Area and Volume of Similar Shapes (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Work with area and volume of similar shapes throughout this worksheet. In section A, students will discover the area and volume scale factors for enlargement by looking at cubes.

Section B is all about the area of similar shapes. Students will calculate the area of enlarged shapes as well as using the areas of two similar shapes to calculate a missing length before answering two word problems.

Learners will work with the volume of similar shapes in section C where, again they will calculate the volume of enlarged shapes as well as using the areas of two similar shapes to calculate a missing length before answering two worded questions.
