Circle Theorems (B) WORKSHEET

Suitable for Grades: Geometry, IM 3
CCSS: HSG.C.A.2
CCSS Description: Identify and describe relationships among inscribed angles, radii, and chords. Include the relationship between central, inscribed, and circumscribed angles; inscribed angles on a diameter are right angles; the radius of a circle is perpendicular to the tangent where the radius intersects the circle.

Circle Theorems (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet will help learners practice using the circle theorems “opposite angles in a cyclic quadrilateral add to 180 degrees” and “the angle in a semicircle is 90 degrees” along with the theorems covered in Circle Theorems (A). Section A provides some straightforward diagrams with missing angles to find. Section B then increases the complexity of the diagrams and changes the type of angle notation used. Follow on from this worksheet with Circle Theorems (C).
