Circle Theorems (C) WORKSHEET
Suitable for Grades: Geometry, IM 3
CCSS: HSG.C.A.2
CCSS Description: Identify and describe relationships among inscribed angles, radii, and chords. Include the relationship between central, inscribed, and circumscribed angles; inscribed angles on a diameter are right angles; the radius of a circle is perpendicular to the tangent where the radius intersects the circle.
Circle Theorems (C) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Following on from Circle Theorems (A) and Circle Theorems (B), this worksheet will help learners practice using the circle theorems formed from tangents to circles. It will require knowledge of “a tangent is perpendicular to the radius at the same point”, “tangent from a point to a circle are the same length” and “the alternate segment theorem”.
