Column Addition of up to 4 Digits (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
The first in our series of two worksheets on column addition of up to 4 digit numbers, this worksheet will see students adding pairs of numbers together where regrouping may or may not be required.
The worksheet begins with a reminder of a method that learners can use to efficiently find the sum of two single digit numbers: using number bonds of 10 and adding the remainder.
Section B consists of 12 column addition questions that are already set up for learners. In section C there are 6 further questions to answer although this time pupils will have to set up the model for column addition themselves.
Section D consists of three problem solving questions.
