Column Method for Multiplying a 2 Digit Number by a Single Digit WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Students are encouraged to use two slightly different methods for column multiplication of a two digit number by a single digit throughout this worksheet.
Questions are structured so that they progress from multiplications requiring no regrouping to harder multiplications with regrouping.
The worksheet is perfect for year 3s as two digit numbers are multiplied by either 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8, inline with the common core. There are 14 multiplications for students workout in section A and square grids are provided with each question.
Section B consists of some problem solving questions.
