Converting Lengths - Centimeters and Millimeters WORKSHEET
CCSS Description: Convert among different‑sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi‑step, real world problems.
Converting Lengths - Centimeters and Millimeters WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Prepare your students to measure, compare, add, and subtract lengths fluently in centimeters and millimeters by first looking at some equivalent measurements. Learners will use a ruler throughout the worksheet to find the equivalence of cm and mm, including fractional lengths such as 6 ½ cm.
Lengths are also partitioned from mm into cm and mm, for example, 34 mm is 3 cm and 4 mm and vice versa.
For more equivalence of metric lengths see our worksheet Converting Lengths - Meters and Centimeters.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions
This worksheet is specifically created for 4th grade and 5th grade students who are developing their understanding of metric measurement conversions. At these grade levels, students are ready to work with fractional measurements and learn how different units within the metric system relate to each other. The activities help build the foundational skills they'll need for more advanced measurement concepts in middle school.
