This worksheet uses the concrete representation of the volume of congruent cubes with lengths given in different metric measures to aid students in mastering unit conversion for volume.
In Section A, students will label congruent cubes in mm and cm and find the volume of the cuboids in mm^3 and cm^3. Section B sees students showing that three stated conversions between mm^3 and cm^3 are true.
In Section C students will consider how many cm^3 are in 20m^3. Then Section D looks at the multiplications and divisions that are required when converting between mm^3, cm^3 and m^3.
Students will use these in Section E where they will complete 12 conversions.
Converting to and from litres is introduced in Section F and lastly students will find the difference between two volumes in Section G.
