Decimals on a Number Line - Beyond 1 WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Pupils will use number lines and place value counters to compare and order decimal numbers (either tenths or hundredths) with the same number of decimal places throughout this worksheet.

Firstly students will identify the positions of pairs of numbers on number lines before using inequality symbols to compare them. Learners are still comparing pairs of decimals in section B but this time the numbers are represented with place value charts and counts.
In section C, pupils will find their way through a maze; they can only progress by entering a box containing a number that is greater than the one they are moving from. All the numbers here have 2 decimal places here.

Lastly, students will order two sets of four decimal numbers.
