Describing Translations of Figures WORKSHEET
Describing Translations of Figures WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
With this translations worksheet, students will both describe translations using column vectors and translate objects by a given column vector.
In section A, students have nine sets of clearly labeled objects and images, and they must describe the translation from one to the other using column vectors. The polygons vary from simple cuboid to star and quarter circle. Each question is on its own square grid.
Section B sees learners translating polygons by given column vectors. There are sixteen to complete, each on individual square grids. Students will translate in all four directions with some overlapping objects and images.
Ensure your students are equipped with a pencil and ruler to complete their translations.
