CCSS: 3.OA.C.7
CCSS Description: Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
Doubling 2 Digit Numbers WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet provides plenty of practice doubling 2 digit numbers. The method of partitioning into tens and ones, doubling and then combining the answers is used throughout in conjunction with part part whole models. We have provided an example to demonstrate how the part part whole models should be used.
On page one learners will double seven numbers where no regrouping of the ones is required for example, 2 x 73.
Page two sees students doubling ten numbers where regrouping is required for example, double 77.
Variation of questions used throughout. Children will be asked to double numbers in words and with the use of addition or multiplication.
