Estimating Angles WORKSHEET

Suitable for Grades: 4th Grade
CCSS: 4.MD.C.6
CCSS Description: Measure angles in whole-number degrees using a protractor. Sketch angles of specified measure

Estimating Angles WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet will see students estimating the size of angles and describe them by identifying them as acute, obtuse, reflex or right.

Students will describe the 9 pre-drawn angles by completing a table in section A. The angles range in size from 30o to 290o and are all multiples of 10, however, students' answers can be accepted with ±5o accuracy.

In section B, we have provided the angle sizes for 10 angles. This time, learners should draw the angles by estimation as well as including the angle type.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students will work with four main angle types: acute (less than 90°), right (exactly 90°), obtuse (between 90° and 180°), and reflex (greater than 180°). Since the angles range from 30° to 290°, your child will get practice identifying examples of each type through both visual estimation and drawing exercises.
