Estimating Answers Addition and Subtraction WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Estimating answers is an important skill as it helps students develop a sense of number scale and improves their ability to quickly gauge the reasonableness of their calculations. This worksheet will enable students to estimate the outcomes of addition and subtraction problems.
Section A guides learners with their estimations as whether numbers should be rounded to the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000 is specified.
In section B students will match questions with the best and most accurate estimations from a choice of three.
Then in section C students will apply estimation to real-life scenarios, where estimation is used to solve practical problems.
