Exponential Expressions: Working with Negative and Fractional Bases WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet covers various exercises that will enable students to apply their knowledge of fractional and negative exponents.
In section A, students will solve the value of 9 integers with negative and/or fractional exponents. Answers given will be integers or fractions.
Then, in section B, students will begin to work with algebraic expressions. Here, expressions are to be written in exponential form with a specified base.
More evaluating takes place in section C. This time, terms to be evaluated include fractional bases.
In section D, students are given expressions with negative exponents which they must write in fractional form.
