Finding Slope (C) WORKSHEET
Interpret the slope (rate of change) and the intercept (constant term) of a linear model in the context of the data.
Finding Slope (C) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Throughout this worksheet students will focus on calculating slope of line segments connecting two points. The questions begin with points shown on the coordinate grids, progressing to coordinates of the points provided with and without blank coordinate grids.
The straight lines have both positive and negative slopes, five of which are fractional.
Now students are ready to find the equations of straight lines, see our worksheet Finding the Equation of the Line (C).
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions
This worksheet is designed for 8th Grade students and those in IM 1 (Integrated Math 1). At these levels, students have developed the foundational coordinate geometry skills needed to work with slope calculations and can handle the mix of positive, negative, and fractional slopes presented in the problems.
