Forming Two Step Equations WORKSHEET
Suitable for Grades: 6th Grade
CCSS: 6.EE.B.6, 6.EE.B.7
CCSS Description: Use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem; understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set.
Solve real‑world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x + p = q and p x = q for nonnegative rational numbers.

Forming Two Step Equations WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet builds on students' ability to form one step equations and continues to use varied representations such as part part whole models, bar models and algebra tiles.
Throughout the worksheet learners will match one and two step equations to models representing these equations, write down equations that different models represent, draw models to match equations and interpret written scenarios as equations while continuing to understand these by using models.
Here students will only focus on three operations: addition, subtraction and multiplication.
