Learners are introduced to halfing with visual aids throughout this worksheet. All the numbers to be halfed are even and no greater than 20.
In section A, dominoes are used. Here students will state the total number of dots on ‘doubles’ dominoes before using the dominoes to find a half of each of the numbers.
In section B the numbers 14, 16, 18 and 20 are halfed using sets of pre-drawn counters.
