Use volume formulas for cylinders, pyramids, cones, and spheres to solve problems.
Matching Formulas for Area and Volume WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet contains most of the formulae for perimeter, area, surface area, and volume that students are required to know or derive at the high school level. Here, students are given fifteen different formulae and they are required to state what each formula is used for. No images are included, and formulae consist of variables only.
The following area formulae are included: rectangle, triangle, trapezoid, circle, and surface area of cylinder, sphere, and cone. The following volume formulae are included: cube, cuboid, cylinder, sphere, cone, and triangular prism.
There is a possibility to extend learners by setting variables at a certain value and asking students to use the formulae to find the actual area or perimeter of each shape.
