Nets of a Cube WORKSHEET
Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Nets of a Cube WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Pupils will identify, sketch and make accurate drawings of nets of cubes throughout this worksheet.
In Section A, students are given 10 different images and are asked to identify which are nets of cubes.
Next, in section B, learners will sketch and draw nets of cubes. They are given a part net of a cube, are asked how many ways they can add two faces to complete the net and sketch two different nets of cubes. Is a reflection a different net?
Finally, using squared paper of square grids, students are asked to accurately draw the net of a cube with a side length of 3 cm and with a surface area of 24 cm2.
Ensure all students use a pencil and ruler when completing any mathematical drawings.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions
This worksheet is designed for 6th grade students who are learning about three-dimensional shapes and their two-dimensional representations. At this level, students are ready to visualize how flat patterns can fold into solid shapes and understand the relationship between 2D nets and 3D objects.
