Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.

Numbers to 1,000,000 WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet aims to see learners reading and writing numbers to 1,000,000 and determining the value of different digits.

Section A makes use of Gattegno charts and asks learners to read numbers displayed on a chart, and then learners are given numbers which they will represent on a chart.

In section B, learners will determine the value of underlined digits in numbers with up to 6 digits.

There is a puzzle for learners to solve in section C. Here they will use a set of clues to identify a six-digit number.
