Numerals and Words (up to 100) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Students will recognise, read and write numbers up to 100 in words while completing this worksheet, building on their work on partitioning numbers into tens and ones.

Section A is a match up activity where learners will pair numbers written in numerals and words. Numbers are chosen to highlight any misconceptions early such as the numbers between 10 and 20 and numbers with the same digits in reverse.

In section B, students have to write numbers given in words in numerals. This encourages number recognition.
Lastly, in section C learners will write ten numbers in words that are given to them in numerals.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions

This worksheet focuses on place value understanding by having students work with numbers up to 100 in both numeral and word forms. The activities build directly on partitioning numbers into tens and ones, which helps students understand how place value works when reading and writing larger numbers. This foundation is crucial for 2nd graders as they expand beyond single-digit numbers.
