Percents of an Amount (C) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet follows nicely on from Percents of an Amount (B) and extends on the mental methods for calculating percentages of amounts. The first eight questions are scaffolded in a way to help students see how a percentage can be found by using a combination or difference of simpler percentages. The questions lead the students through the process providing clues along the way, slowly reducing the number of clues until the last eight questions. where the students will need to do all the thinking for themselves. This is a great process for students to follow when calculating percentage mentally.
