Simplifying Radicals (C) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet follows on from Simplifying Radicals (A) and (B) by featuring more questions on collecting like radicals and then a good selection of expanding parenthesis with radicals. Section A is a warm-up activity with some simplification and collecting radical terms. This skill will be required for later sections. Section B provides 6 questions on expanding a single parenthesis, then 6 questions where learners need to expand double parentheses with radicals. Section C then finished the worksheet with 6 questions on squaring parentheses with radicals.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions

This worksheet is designed for IM 1 and Algebra I students who are ready to tackle more advanced radical operations. Since it builds on the foundational skills from parts A and B, students should have already mastered basic radical simplification before attempting these expansion problems.
