Subtracting from Multiples of 10 (B) will see your learners subtracting two digit numbers from multiples of 10 mentally.
In section A, students will decomposte numbers depending on place value, subtract tens first and ones second from the multiples of 10.
Then in section B students will complete six subtraction wheels where they will subtract the number in the center from the number outside of it or start with the number at the center and subtract the outside of it. There is opportunity here for students to consider subtraction fact families as calculations such as 50 - 5 = 45 and 50 - 5 = 45 appear.
