Suitable for Grades: Algebra I, IM 1
CCSS: HSA.REI.B.3
CCSS Description: Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.

Writing Inequalities from Graphs (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is designed to help learners understand the different ways of presenting inequalities in two dimensions on a coordinate grid. Learners must write the appropriate inequality for the horizontal and vertical lines and the shaded regions given. They must also provide a coordinate which satisfies the shaded region. Learners will need to match the inequality symbol to the type of line used – dotted or solid.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.

Frequently Asked Questions

This worksheet is designed for Algebra I and IM 1 students who are learning about inequalities. At these levels, students are developing skills in interpreting coordinate graphs and understanding how mathematical symbols translate to visual representations on the coordinate plane.
