Plans and Elevations (B) WORKSHEET

Suitable for Grades: 6th Grade
CCSS: 6.G.A.4
CCSS Description: Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.

Plans and Elevations (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet extends on Plans and Elevations (A) by introducing triangular prisms and compound shapes. Section A has three triangular prisms. Section B then combines these with cuboids and other prisms with cross sections made from trapezoids. Section C then starts to provide more complicated non-prism shapes. Three pages of 1 cm grids are provided. Follow on from this worksheet with Plans and Elevations (C).
