Suitable for Grades: 8th Grade
CCSS: 6.EE.A.1, 8.EE.A.2
CCSS Description: Write and evaluate numerical expressions involving whole‑number exponents.
Use square root and cube root symbols to represent solutions to equations of the form x2 = p and x3 = p, where p is a positive rational number. Evaluate square roots of small perfect squares and cube roots of small perfect cubes. Know that √2 is irrational.

Square Numbers, Cube Numbers and Other Powers WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet will help learners consolidate their knowledge of square and cube numbers and allow them to compare and explore other powers. Section A asks learners to recall and recognize square and cube numbers. Section B asks learners to compare numbers in index form and use the inequality symbols and equals signs to describe the relationships. Section C asks learners to fill in the missing values of some statements involving powers and the last section is a reasoning question about cubes.
