CCSS Description: Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems, for example by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 × ? = 48, 5 = � ÷ 3, 6 × 6 = ?.
Students will use positive whole numbers to make lists of the possible answers to four missing number calculations in section A.
Then in section B students will use only the digits 1 to 9 to complete another nine missing number problems. Lastly in section C, there are yet more missing number problems to solve. This time each number from a given set may only be used once and the numbers have been extend to include negative numbers.
