In this worksheet, learners will firstly sort fractions and decimals into equivalent pairs in section A.
In Section B, pupils are provided with two different methods for calculating with one decimal and one fraction. The first method involves converting both to fractions and the second, both to decimals. Students are then directed to use the methods one at time to answer a set of 12 addition and subtraction questions. This enables pupils to consider when either method is most effective.
Then in section C, students will use the most effective method to answer further questions.
