Calculating Angles (B) WORKSHEET

Suitable for Grades: 8th Grade
CCSS: 8.G.A.5
CCSS Description: Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.

Calculating Angles (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

The worksheet consists of twenty missing angles to find across twelve diagrams and includes the following rules: angles in a parallelogram, angles in trapezoids, angles in triangles including isosceles, angles around a point, angles on a straight line, angles in parallel lines, and even images where the parallel lines need to be extend to solve.

We have created two versions of this worksheet, one including clues to give students a helping hand. Decide which is appropriate for your class or for individuals to use.
