Suitable for Grades: 2nd Grade, 4th Grade
CCSS: 2.G.A.1, 4.G.A.3
CCSS Description: Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces.5 Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.

Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.

Lines of Symmetry (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is designed to help students identify shapes with vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines of symmetry. In Section A, students will draw lines of symmetry on shapes where applicable. In Section B, they will shade one square to create a pattern with one line of symmetry. Section C challenges students to shade the minimum number of squares to create two diagonal lines of symmetry.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Math.
