Place Value: Finding the Value of Digits worksheet description

This worksheet focuses on students being able to identify the place value of a given digit in numbers ranging from the millions to hundredths. Answers are encouraged to be given in numerical form and as fractions where the place value is less than ones.

There are five sections that increase in difficulty as the size of numbers increases, culminating with decimal numbers appearing in section E.

Once place value is understood, students are ready to our worksheets on multiplying and dividing numbers by powers of ten.
