About This Worksheet

This iGCSE revision worksheet covers Approximations, aligned to Cambridge iGCSE (0580) syllabus codes C1.5, C1.6 and Edexcel iGCSE (4MA1) codes 1.9, 1.1. Answers and worked solutions are included.

With this resource, your students will round numbers in calculations to one significant figure or another appropriate degree of accuracy to estimate the answer to the calculation. The questions increase in difficulty, starting with learners choosing calculations they could easily do in their head to estimate and culminating in choosing to round to a square number to estimate a square root in a multi-step calculation.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
