Frequently Asked Questions
Your child will develop their understanding of adding multiples of 100 to three digit numbers, which is a key skill at this stage. The grid format helps them see that addition works the same way regardless of which number comes first - this is called the commutativity property. They'll build confidence with larger numbers whilst reinforcing that adding hundreds follows the same patterns they already know.
